Visa de long séjour étudiant (VLS-TS)
The main student visa for degree programmes. Issued for up to one year and validated on arrival, after which you renew with a carte de séjour. Mandatory Campus France Études en France procedure for Algerian applicants.

Passeport Talent
Four-year residence permit for salaried employees in qualified roles, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and recognised talent. Salary thresholds apply by category. Spouses get immediate work authorisation.
- Salaried: master's-level qualification + salary ≥ 1.5× SMIC
- Researcher: hosting agreement with a French research institution
- Family: spouse receives Passeport Talent Famille with full work rights
Famille · Conjoint / Regroupement
Family Residence
For spouses of French citizens (Vie Privée et Familiale) and for family reunification (regroupement familial) of legal residents. Both routes lead to long-term residence, with different timelines and criteria.
- Spouse of French citizen: simplified process, VPF residence permit after marriage
- Regroupement familial: 18 months of legal French residence + housing proof

How it works

The Campus France process runs on a fixed calendar, and the légalisation of your Algerian diplomas has to start early. We map every date backward from your September arrival.
- 01
Campus France pre-registration
We open your Études en France dossier, shortlist institutions, and prepare the motivation documents. Campus France opens in November, late starts cost you cycles.
- 02
Admission & légalisation
We handle university applications (master's direct, undergrad via Parcoursup or DAP). In parallel we légalise your Algerian diplomas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and French consulate.
- 03
Campus France interview
The mandatory interview at Campus France Algiers. We run mock interviews in French so you present your project clearly and consistently.
- 04
Visa application at VFS
Financial proof, accommodation, insurance, biometrics at VFS Global Algiers. The full VLS-TS file with every annex in the correct order, the step where most Algerian refusals happen.
- 05
Arrival & OFII validation
Flight coordination, housing setup, OFII visa validation within three months of arrival, CAF application for housing aid, French bank account. First two months, we're still in the loop.
